Terms of Use

1. Acceptance
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your use of Dodge Dojo (Japanese title: 回避独学; the "App"), an iOS game provided by RuLa Gems (the "Developer"). When you first launch the App, it shows safety notes and asks you to agree to them and to these Terms. By agreeing in the App, or by downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
2. Overview
The App is a game for iPhone. You stand your iPhone upright, and the front camera follows the movement of your head. You dodge punches thrown by a 3D boxer on the screen by actually moving your head and body (slipping, weaving and ducking). You do not punch. Playing involves light physical exercise, and the App shows an estimated number of calories burned.
3. Health and Safety (Important)
The App involves physical movement. Before you play, consult a doctor if you have any health condition (for example, a heart condition, high blood pressure, or neck, back or joint problems), if you are pregnant, if you have recently been injured or had surgery, or if you are unsure whether exercise is safe for you.
Stop playing immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, nausea or any other discomfort. Warm up before playing, take breaks, and do not push yourself.
The App is a game for entertainment. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis or treatment, or a training or fitness program. Calories burned and all other figures shown in the App are estimates and may differ from actual values.
4. Play Environment
Play in a space with enough room around you, with no people, pets or objects nearby (furniture, walls, glass, lights, etc.), on a stable, non-slippery floor.
Secure your iPhone with a stand or similar so that it cannot fall over or drop. Do not hold it in your hand while playing.
You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of others while playing, and for any damage to your device or your surroundings, except as provided in Section 12.
5. Minors
If you are a minor, use the App only with the consent of a parent or guardian. Children should play with a parent or guardian watching. Parents and guardians are asked to check these Terms and the safety notes together with the child.
6. Free and Paid (One-Time Purchase)
The Rookie courses can be played for free. The Amateur, Pro and Champion courses are unlocked by a single in-app purchase ("All Courses").
- "All Courses" is a one-time (non-consumable) purchase. It is not a subscription: nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel.
- It unlocks all paid courses, including paid courses added in future updates.
- Pricing and other commercial terms are described in the Commercial Transactions Act notice and on the App Store product page.
- Whether Family Sharing is available follows the settings shown on the App Store.
- Courses and features may be added or changed in future updates.
7. Purchases, Restoring, and Refunds
All purchases and refunds are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and policies. After a new device or a reinstall, you can bring your purchase back with "Restore purchases" in the App using the same Apple Account. For refunds, please contact Apple Support.
8. Camera and Privacy
The App uses the front camera to estimate the position of your head and body. Camera images are processed only on your device and are never saved or sent anywhere. Your calibration data and game records are stored only on your device. The App has no account system, no server of its own, and no analytics or advertising. 9. Game Center and Online Play
- Game Center is optional. If you are signed in to Game Center, your game records (for example, your total dodges for the month) are sent to Game Center leaderboards, and your achievement progress to Game Center achievements.
- Your Game Center nickname, avatar and records may be visible to other players, according to Apple's Game Center settings and terms.
- Real-time online matches with another player through Game Center may be added in a future update.
- When using leaderboards, achievements or online play, you must not cheat, tamper with scores or the App, or harass or insult other players (see Section 10).
10. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Copy, modify, or redistribute the App
- Cheat, or tamper with the App, its data, scores or leaderboards (including the use of tools, bots or modified apps)
- Harass, threaten or insult other players, or use offensive display names
- Interfere with the operation of the App or with other players' play
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
The Developer may remove scores or records obtained through such conduct from leaderboards where possible.
11. Disclaimer of Warranty
The App is provided "AS IS", without any warranty, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and the accuracy of head tracking, scores, calories or other figures. Camera-based tracking may not work correctly depending on lighting, clothing, background and other conditions.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer is not liable for any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including injuries, accidents, and damage to your device or surroundings during play. However:
- This does not apply to damages caused by the Developer's willful misconduct or gross negligence.
- For damages caused by the Developer's negligence (other than gross negligence), the Developer's liability is limited to the total amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the damage occurred.
- Where applicable consumer protection law (such as Japan's Consumer Contract Act) does not allow liability to be excluded or limited, that law prevails, and this section applies only to the extent the law allows.
13. Intellectual Property
Intellectual property rights in the App belong to the Developer or the respective rightsholders. Third-party assets used in the App (3D models, motion, images, audio, fonts, etc.) are used under their respective licenses, and sources are shown in the App's Credits screen. These Terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights to you.
14. Changes to These Terms
The Developer may update these Terms as needed. Changes will be announced on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. For material changes, the App may ask you to agree to the revised Terms again before you continue playing. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
