Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

LiveAtlas (the "App") is an iOS app provided by RuLa Gems (the "Developer"). It lets you find live camera streams on a map and watch them.

The App requires no account and sends no information about you to the Developer's server. This policy explains, without omission, where network traffic does occur and what the Developer may receive.

2. What the App does not collect

The App never sends any of the following to the Developer's server:

The App has no mechanism for writing anything to the Developer's server. Communication with the server is read-only. No analytics or advertising SDK is included.

3. Stored on your device only

The following is stored only on your device. The Developer cannot access it.

All of it is removed when you delete the App.

4. Device permissions (location)

The App uses location (while in use) to show live cameras near you on the map. Specifically, it reads your location once, when you tap "move to current location", and pans the map there.

Granting it is optional. Every live camera remains viewable without it.

With that location, the App does none of the following.

5. Network activity

The App makes two kinds of network requests.

5.1 Fetching the published data

The camera list, stream status, and notices are fetched from a server operated by the Developer (live.rulagems.org). These requests only read; they never upload.

The only information the App attaches is its own name and version (User-Agent). No device identifier or user information is included.

That said, because it is a network request, your IP address is recorded in the delivery provider's access log. This is recorded automatically by the delivery platform (Cloudflare) for abuse prevention and fault diagnosis. The Developer does not use it to identify or profile users.

5.2 The YouTube embedded player

Playback uses YouTube's official embedded player inside the App. Once playback starts, your device communicates directly with YouTube (Google LLC).

The App uses YouTube's Privacy Enhanced Mode (youtube-nocookie.com) by default. According to YouTube, views in this mode are not used to personalize advertising shown to you outside the app.

However, this does not eliminate cookies. The script required for the player is loaded from www.youtube.com, and cookies are set at that point. The Developer cannot avoid this technically. We therefore cannot claim that the App uses no cookies.

Information collected by YouTube is handled under Google's policies. Please see the Google Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service.

The App does not pass any information about you to YouTube, nor does it receive any information about you from YouTube.

6. Notifications

Notifications (such as before sunrise) are local notifications scheduled on your device, only for cameras you have added to favorites. The time is computed on your device from the camera's coordinates and the date.

There is no push notification server; the Developer has no way to send you a notification. Granting notification permission is optional.

7. In-app purchase

LiveAtlas Pro is purchased through Apple's StoreKit, and payment is handled entirely by Apple. The Developer only reads the purchase state locally and receives no information identifying the purchaser. There is no server-side purchase verification.

8. Information you provide through our forms

The App itself collects no personal information. However, if you use one of our contact forms, the Developer receives the following.

9. Information sharing

The Developer does not sell, rent, or otherwise provide your personal information to third parties, except where required by law. Because the App sends nothing off your device, there is nothing to share in the first place.

10. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and the Developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Note that what the App lists is live streams published by third parties, whose content the Developer cannot review in advance. If a child uses the App, please do so under a guardian's supervision.

11. Your rights (California / CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information has been collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale or sharing.

The App stores favorites, viewing history, and similar data only on your device and never sends it to the Developer's server, so there is generally no personal information for the Developer to disclose, delete, or sell. As described in section 8, however, we do retain what you submit through our forms. To request deletion, please contact us through the same form.

12. Disclaimer (about the streams we list)

The video shown in the App is broadcast by third parties, and the Developer does not warrant its content or continuity. For inappropriate content and removal requests, please see the Terms of Use and the form below.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as needed. Changes will be reflected on this page and in the "Last updated" date above.

15. Data deletion
